Extremely rare large 1920s hand made Murano pink opaline glass pinched shell bowl with clear sommerso glass and gold aventurine.

28cm x 17cm x 13cm, in good vintage condition. The largest of its kind, rare offering from our private collection. 

This is the queen bee of Murano shell bowls. They costs thousands brand new without real gold, currently Murano producers use brass shavings instead of real gold to create the aventurine effect. She weighs 4kg of glass and gold aventurine.
