1960s hand made sterling silver Danish brutalist pendant necklace with blue enamel by Danish master Niels Erik.
True to Danish silversmithing tradition, hand made, pendant measures 4.5cm x 3cm, 58cmL chain, maker’s mark present and stamped on the inside.

Niels Erik From (often credited as N.E. From) was a Danish silversmith and jewellery designer born in 1908 in Denmark. He trained in the craft from a young age and opened his own workshop in 1931, quickly gaining recognition for his skilful metalwork and artistic vision. From’s early jewellery drew on the Scandinavian Skønvirke style—part of Denmark’s Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts heritage—featuring delicate floral and foliage motifs often set with semi-precious stones. In the 1950s and 1960s his designs evolved into striking modernist pieces with clean, abstract forms, helping establish him as one of the notable figures in Danish modern design. His company operated for decades, exporting widely through the 1960s and 1970s. Niels Erik From passed away in 1982, and his pieces remain sought after by collectors of vintage Scandinavian jewellery.
