LARGE ANTIQUE MURANO SCAVO PINK GLASS VASE
Couldn't load pickup availability
Extremely rare large antique Art deco hand made Murano SCAVO pink glass vase with turquoise knobs.
48cm x 15cm, minor scratches on a few ribs along the spines of vase as pictured, wear and tear consistent with age, overall in good condition. Please note acid glass is textured due to hand made nature of the glass, they’re not faults or flaws.
“SCAVO” means “excavation” in Italian. This is special Murano glass technique of applying to the surface of an object, of substances that, when heated to about 1470°F (800°C), fuse and create an effect similar to weathering, thereby imitating glass from an archeological excavation.
