True to Finnish silversmithing tradition, hand made, weighs in at 120 grams of silver, 7cm diameter, maker’s mark present and stamped on the inside.

Taisto Palonen was a Finnish jewelry designer active primarily in the 1960s and 1970s, known for his work in modernist and sculptural metal jewelry. He studied and worked as a designer for Kultateollisuus (Kultateollisuus Ky), where he created distinctive pieces — including rings, bracelets, and pendants often crafted in silver with natural gemstones like Finnish greenstone — that reflect the clean yet expressive aesthetic of Scandinavian design of the era. His work is sought after in vintage and collector circles and has appeared in European auctions and design references as exemplary of mid-20th-century Finnish jewelry craftsmanship.
