Collection: Nude 1910s - 1930s

Welcome to our Nude Collection

We are offering a rare chance to own pieces from our private collection of nudes in glass that we've owned for a long time.

What you're seeing here are a few items selected for sale consisting of uranium, depression glass and malachite.

The female form has been a popular subject throughout art history, from prehistory to the earliest civilizations, nude female figures are generally understood to be symbols of fertility or well-being.

The Art Deco movement is one of the historical styles that slowly expanded the definition of art beyond painting and sculpture into other areas, such as glassware and jewellery. Art Deco glass used mainly geometric patterns, bold colours and stylized female figures and our collection demonstrates all these characteristics.

These items are currently on display at our shop, 321 Crown St, Surry Hills NSW 2010. All items purchased will be available for local pick up or shipped after our exhibition wraps up.

We recommend that you view our display at night when all the uranium glass pieces are lit up to have the full experience. We are also posting daily on our Instagram and Facebook page editorial photos of each item where we discuss at length about how they were made and the history behind their maker.
